PACT Program is a Section 529 pre-paid college tuition program administered
by the State of Alabama Treasurer's office.
Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 authorizes states
to create two types of college savings programs, prepaid tuition
plans and college savings plans.
A Board of Directors oversees the PACT Trust Fund and approves changes to the PACT rules.
Three State Treasury employees manage the daily activities of the
College Savings Program Division, including PACT Program Director
